The 113th session of the United Sacred Harp Musical Association convened at Camp McDowell, between Jasper and Double Springs, Alabama. Interestingly, this was the first time the United Convention ever met in Winston County.
The Friday night session featured lessons by West Alabama singers recorded in minutes from the 1920s-1950s being led by the original leaders’ descendants.
